WITH reference to the article "Pay Your Rent And Get A Holiday", can anyone tell me why paying one's rent should be rewarded and classed as good behaviour?
By this standard, we who pay our council tax, mortgages water rates, private rents and other bills should all be rewarded in some way for paying them on time.
Council tenants who do not pay their rent by the due date and cause disruption on the estates should be penalised.
When my children were small, we couldn't afford a car or go on holiday, despite the fact my husband and I both worked. But we always paid our bills on the due date. We didn't get a free holiday for our good behaviour nor did we expect one.
