ROAD closures will be in operation on Thursday for Bolton's Christmas Lights switch-on.
All parking bays in Le Mans Crescent will be suspended between 4pm and 7.30pm and Le Mans Crescent will be closed from 6.15pm until 7.30pm.
Special parking arrangements have been put in place for disabled badge holders who will be able to park free of charge in Cheadle Square between these times.
The fun starts at 5pm with two-and-a-half hours of free entertainment in Victoria Square. Headlining this year's event is Amir Khan who will help Father Christmas and the Mayor of Bolton flick the switch.
Appearing on stage will be a fantastic line-up of local talent including Bolton Wanderers players, the Reebok Rebels, NoHow Productions and dancers from Dawn Dawson's Academy, as well as the Crazy Frog. A fabulous firework finale will be followed by the Tower FM Party until 7.30pm.
Last year, 12,000 people turned out to join in the fun and organisers are confident this year's line-up will be another crowd-puller.
