A SCHOOL vocal band will be adding to the festive cheer when the switch is flicked on Farnworths Christmas lights.
Harper Green School Vocal Band will be singing at the ceremony on Thursday, December 1.
Becky Brown, head of expressive arts and vocal band coach, said: "They are a credit not only to the school but to the local community, for the commitment and effort they have put into the rehearsals for this performance."
There will also be a performance from Little Lever School Orchestra.
The event kicks off at 3.30pm, following a procession along Brackley Street to Asda. At 4pm, the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton will turn on the lights
