I WAS sorry to discover from newspaper lists that neither David Crausby nor Brian Iddon voted against the proposed 90-day detention period for terrorist suspects before they were charged.
Nor did they abstain from the vote.
Tony Blair knowingly stirred up a terrorist hornets' nest when he joined George Bush in a attacking Iraq (and offering questionable reasons for it).
His subsequent sustained assault on our civil liberties is an attempt to distract attention from his own culpability in making the London bombings not only possible, but probable, and from the only policy which has a real chance of lifting the threat of future attacks immediate withdrawal of British forces from Iraq.
Thank goodness Parliament has at last prevented him from getting all his own way.
