THIEVES have stolen a memorial to two children from the front garden of an Astley home.
The stone angel in memory of Mrs Patricia Lindsay's son Declan and daughter Siobhan had stood in the gardens of her homes in Glasgow, Cheshire and then Astley, and had not been touched - until last week.
A furious Mrs Lindsay, of South Lane, Blackmoor, said: "This theft has really upset me.
"I bought the angel to remember Declan who died at three months and Siobhan who was stillborn.
"It was specially commissioned and has been moved four times in the past 15 years without coming to any harm."
Mrs Lindsay moved to the area to be near her daughter Kirsty, and her son Rob who is studying accountancy at Manchester University.
She said: "I think it would have been too heavy for children to carry off.
"I can't believe people can be so awful."
