TWO new celebrities have added their names to appear at a tribute concert to the late Bolton poet Hovis Presley.
Presley, whose real name was Richard McFarlane, died in June at the age of 44. A "Tribute Concert Party" is being held at the Albert Halls, Bolton, on Monday, November 21, and a host of local and national stars are lined up to provide the entertainment.
Paddy McGuiness from Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy, has confirmed he will be appearing, and veteran comedian and impressionist Phil Cool, is also in the line up which will include Johnny Vegas and Badly Drawn Boy. And there will be appearances by a mystery guest on the night.
Albert Halls and Entertainment's Manager, Phil Smith, said: "The depth, range and quality of the artists who have signed up so far for this incredible night, stands as real testimony to how highly Hovis was regarded as the uniquely gifted performer he was.The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost: £17.50and concessions £15. Proceeds to the Hovis Presley Memorial Fund .
