BIRMINGHAM City midfielder David Dunn could be back to face Wanderers.

The former Blackburn star has come through ten months of injury frustration but is now pushing Steve Bruce to include him in the squad against Wanderers on Monday (Nov 21).

Dunnes injury has been a contributory factor to Birmingham's poor start. Six points from 12 games has left them deep in trouble near the foot of the Premiership although Bruce appears to have the support of his board, and the squad at his disposal does look better than many of their fellow strugglers.

Home form and a shortage of goals have been key factors in their poor start with just a single point from six games at St Andrews, while a paltry seven goals from their dozen Premiership matches looks relegation form.

Injuries have been a major problem, although with Muzzy Izzets recent return to action and Dunn also in the frame, plus Julian Gray and Stephen Clemence also on the way back, Bruce could soon have a full squad to choose from.

And Dunn is ready and able to play his part.

"It's great to be back and hopefully now I can give the fans something to cheer about, because they haven't seen the best of me yet!" he said.

The midfielder also believes one decent performance can get Blues back on track.

"We've got a good camaraderie, a good spirit and we'll pull through, he said. "We've got important games coming up where we can pick up points and a couple of wins will take us to mid-table. If we play as I know we can, we stand a good chance of still having a decent season."
