ON Sunday, I went to pay my respects to Fred Dibnah, and I was so glad to see that a headstone has been put in place at his grave.
At first sight, I was a little disappointed that there wasnt a more grand stone, but after spending a few minutes there, I realised that this was probably what he would have wanted.
From what I saw of him, he was down-to-earth and didn't go for the more fancy stuff, so this headstone suits just fine.
