FURTHER to the article in Saturday's Bolton Evening News "Too tall nursery school can stay", I am writing to express my utter disbelief and exasperation at the present outcome of this sorry saga.

Firstly I would like to make it clear that by all accounts Mrs Grundy appears to have gone about her application correctly. The council however is another issue.

The nursery is welcome, its site is not, its appearance is not, its size is not, its access is not.

We were told that permission initially had been passed by the officers, NOT the committee, and mistakes had been made, as it was a tremendous eyesore on the edge of greenbelt.

The proposition of moving the eyesore to its rightful place on the opposite side of the school grounds was discussed, but because mistakes had been made compensation may be an issue.

Brookfold Lane is already congested and dangerous, with the lorries speeding up to the quarry, residential parking and a myriad of parents with children in cars, dropping kids off at school times.

It is chaos and extremely dangerous, and all this time a perfectly large and safe two way entrance with a private car park and access to the safe side of the playing fields lies empty and unused.
