HIGH school students put on a "King-size" fashion show to raise money for charity.
A group of five pupils at King David High School started preparing for the event six months ago.
And their hard work paid off as they raised around £3,000 for the Alzheimer"s Society.
Fifteen-year-olds Alicia Sagelman, Robyn Price, Sara Warner, Charlotte Davies and Sophie Landes formed a committee in April and started to hold auditions for models.
They approached local businesses for help and persuaded a number of fashion boutiques and clothes designers to donate outfits for the evening.
They also had the services of professional hairdressers and student make-up artists from Abraham Moss College.
The event was held at the school, off Bury Old Road, and the venue was packed with friends and family who all gave generously.
Alicia, who lives in Whitefield, said: "We chose this particular charity as one of the girl"s grandmothers has Alzheimer"s. It was something we all really wanted to do and although it was hard work, it was well worth it. It was a fabulous night and gave us an insight into event management if we ever wanted to take that up in the future."
