RADCLIFFE Boro have finally signed former Manchester City midfielder Ged Brannan from Accrington Stanley.
Brannans signature brings to an end a long chase for Boro manager Kevin Glendon, who is in no doubt as to the qualities his new charge will bring to his side.
Glendon said: "Ged is a very experienced player and will bring quality to the midfield.
"He has played at the top level for a long time and he will certainly help our younger players.
"He has presence, is a good talker and I was speaking to (ex Boro striker) Paul Mullin who played with him at Stanley and he assures me that Ged was the fittest at their club.
"Against Whitby at the weekend, he did everything I expected of him. People expect him to come in and start spraying balls all over the park because he has played in the Premiership but it doesnt work like that."
Brannan has also played for Tranmere, Norwich and Wigan.
The deal is initially for 30 days but Glendon is hoping both sides impress each other enough to ensure Brannans stay proves anything but brief.
