TWO charities are quids in thanks to Horwich Flower Club's blooming marvellous fund-raising.
The club's 179 members have worked hard for two years to raise nearly £3,000. And this week the Air Ambulance Service and the Make A Wish Foundation were both given cheques for £1,300. Chairman Joan Hughes said: "We raised the money through our monthly raffles and through donations we were given at church flower festivals.
"I was formerly a nurse and my daughter is a paramedic so the Air Ambulance seemed a very good cause, and they receive no Government help.
"The Make A Wish Foundation gives desperately ill children dream holidays and makes a massive difference to their lives. Both organisations are very deserving."
