The club was facing a deficit of £1,400 and rather than appealing for people to dig deep into their pockets they were looking for more of a long term solution to help generate funds.

AN appeal to raise £10,000 for a new minibus for Parkside Hostel got off to a flying start. The fund was boosted by £1,000 thanks to a generous donation by Radcliffe's Royal Oak Hotel who raised £600 plus a scheme to sponsor each of the minibus seats, which raised £350.
