RADCLIFFE Boro manager Kevin Glendon has sent midfielder Martyn Forrest and Matt Edgington on loan to fellow UniBond Premier League side Leek Town.
The pair are away from the Inn2gether Stadium for a month and Glendon sees it as a chance for them to freshen up.
He said: "It is no good not playing competitive football for a long spell and I feel with Martyn it will give him the opportunity to regain some match fitness and confidence and, once the spell has finished, it will give us both the opportunity to sit down and re-assess the situation again.
"In relation to Matt, it has been difficult for him trying to break into the side with the arrival of Matty O'Neill and the form Matty has shown.
"It will give Matt the experience of playing at this level, which he has not been able to get with us at this moment in time.
"I have had lots of people pestering me to give Matt a go but he has to learn to play for 90 minutes. It's totally different to come on for ten minutes at the end.
"Also, at this level, Matt has to learn that he can't just stand out on the wing waiting for the ball. He has to get more involved."
