A MAJOR shake-up of services for disabled children is taking place - and the public is being urged to have its say.
Two public meetings have been called where parents, carers and voluntary groups can make their voice heard, especially on proposals concerning short-break services.
The talks aim to establish what works well and what does not, what new services can be developed, and how they can be distributed fairly.
Councillor Maggie Gibb, executive member for children and young people, said: "To ensure that the outcomes will truly reflect what families in Bury need and want, it is essential that you become involved in the consultation process.
"Please feel reassured that you will be listened to."
The public meetings are held on October 18 (from 6.30pm to 9pm) and October 19 (9.45am until noon) at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury Town Hall.
