A 37-year-old man has been jailed for three years after being convicted of indecently assaulting two young girls in his former Radcliffe home.
Kevin Cook (37), who now lives in Leeds, denied four charges of intimately touching two girls, both aged around 11-years-old, at the times of the incidents in 1995 and 2001.
A jury convicted Cook last month, and he appeared at Bolton Crown Court on Tuesday to be sentenced.
Jim Storrie, prosecuting, told the court that Cook had abused his position of authority when he assaulted the girls, and had previous convictions for violence.
But Abdul Iqbal, defending, argued that Cook has a new partner and a three-month-old baby, and asked that he was not kept away from his family for too long.
Sentencing, Judge Timothy Clayson said: "What you did to these young girls made them feel very dirty, ashamed and embarrassed, and the first girl felt so bad that she did not tell anyone what had happened for a number of years.
"You pleaded not guilty, and continue to deny what you did, showing no remorse. These are very serious offences, and that is why I am giving you a custodial sentence."
