LEIGH RMI's new signing Leon Mike will make the starting line-up, if he recovers from a slight hamstring strain, for the FA Cup third qualifying round tie at home to Gainsborough Trinity.
The former Manchester City and Aberdeen striker impressed, despite struggling for fitness, after he came on as a second-half sub against Workington last week.
Manager Andy Nelson, who has no injury worries for the tie, will start with Mike in an attempt to change the fortunes of his goal-shy attack.
The Railwaymen suffered a disappointing 1-0 league defeat last weekend when they handed Workington a goal with a defensive blunder and then missed a penalty at the other end, but Nelson is hoping his club can get back on track.
"I felt very flat after the defeat because they were experienced players who let us down," he said.
"But we have an early chance to bounce back and a win will give everybody a lift.
"We lost 2-1 at Gainsborough in the league earlier this season, but we gave a good account of ourselves and there is no reason why we cannot progress further."
A win will bank cash-strapped Leigh £5,000 in addition to the £3,750 they won for overcoming Chester-le-Street in the last round.
The game kicks off at 1pm to avoid a clash with the England World Cup qualifier.
