A SPECIAL day of activities is to be held at Bolton Museum to mark the 100th anniversary of the naming of Tyrannosaurus Rex.
There will be a wide variety of events for all the family in the Museum's Clore Activity Space on Saturday, October 8, including the opportunity for people to design their own dinosaurs, make a fossil, learn how real palaeontologists work out what dinosaurs looked like.
Bolton Museum's own geologist, David Craven, will be available all morning to answer questions and show off T Rex artefacts.
Cllr Bob Ronson, executive member for adult services, said: "T Rex captures people's imagination like no other creature before or since, and it is only fitting that we celebrate the birthday of his naming by holding a day of special activities."
