RE the article "Too tall nursery school can stay" Saturday, October 1.
After all the bad things the majority of the planning committee said about this building, having visited the site, they then go and pass it. I find their decision staggering and unbelievable.
The planning department has made a grave error in passing this building. So, why should we, the local residents, suffer?
We still think it should be moved. It is in the wrong position, is too high, back to front and in the wrong place. The ramp is now being used as the main entrance and depending how tall a person is, they are looking down into my kitchen approximately twelve feet lower and I find that very intimidating.
In answer to Councillor David Wilkinson, no one in Kayfields or Brookfold Lane has ever complained over its use as a nursery, Good luck to it. It is where it is sited that is the problem. Like the councillor said It is not the prettiest building That is an under statement if ever there was one.
