Having just read the Bolton Evening News regarding the article "£500m future is on the horizon", it once again appears that there is no money to be allocated towards sporting facilities.

The football fields around Bolton are in less than perfect condition and are not very well maintained.

It appears to me that the people responsible for running the town do not care about sport, despite us becoming an unhealthy nation, and only care about new buildings.

Everything that changes happens in Bolton itself and not in the outlying towns that make up Bolton borough.

The only thing that we get in Westhoughton is more housing, despite the town being largely overpopulated and not enough facilities such as doctors and schools to go around.

The roads are almost gridlocked both morning and evening and yet the council still allow more houses to be built on our green belt areas.

We have had a plot of vacant land near to where I live for a number of years now. I have made enquiries as to whether it could be turned into a garden for the local residents only to be told that it had been identified for building yet another new housing development.

I would like to know if the residents in Westhoughton have been consulted regarding what they would actually like to happen in their own town I can be pretty sure that it isnt more housing.
