GHOSTS, ghouls, poltergeists and spirits could be putting in an appearance on Bury's first ever Halloween ghost tour.
Anyone brave enough to find out about the town's ghostly goings-on will visit haunted rooms in the town hall and the former Bury dungeon, and hear stories of the collapse of Moss Lane Theatre and the death of a scullery maid in Bury's very first railway accident.
They will also celebrate the Celtic religion's New Year by learning about the origins of trick-or-treating and the historical background of Halloween.
The ghost tours have been organised by the Bury branch of The Samaritans to raise money for the charity. The cost is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, and everyone is welcome to wear costumes and carry pumpkins and lanterns.
They will begin every 30 minutes on the night of Halloween on October 31, from 6pm until 9pm, at The Samaritans, in Knowsley Street.
To book a place, phone (0161) 764 0055 between 5pm and 9pm on weekdays, from 9am to 9pm on Saturdays, or from 9am until 5pm on Sundays.
