GARDENERS were almost carried away with joy when a huge wheelbarrow was returned to Barton Grange Garden Centre.
Twelve months ago the giant wheelbarrow, which had become a landmark on Wigan Road, Bolton, was dismantled after vandals wrecked it with creosote.
But now, a new, metal barrow that was delivered by wagon last Friday is in place.
Emma Greaves, assistant manager at the garden centre, said staff were delighted with the replacement.
She said: "I'm not sure if we're going to put plants in it but we're thrilled it's back. We'd had the other for 15 years and customers were upset when it went."
