PAST and present members of St Stephen's Church in Kearsley are to attend a special service in honour of its warden who is retiring after more than 20 years of service.
George Roberts is to be appointed as an emeritus church warden on Sunday in recognition of his 22 years in the post.
The service will be conducted by Archdeacon, the Reverend John Applegate.
Secretary of the Parish Church Council, Jean Miller said: "The service will be at 3pm and everyone is welcome to attend, when our thanks will be extended to George for all the excellent time and effort he has devoted to St Stephen's Church."
