Tyldesley travelled to Northwich to face Winnington Park in their third outing in the Powergen North Two Division but left empty-handed as the home side did just enough to register a 15-3 victory.
Park went ahead with a penalty but the early exchanges were scrappy with neither side stamping their authority on the game until the home sides Andy Barnes went over for an unconverted try to make the score 8-0.
Good work from stand-in scrum half Mark Dickinson, one of three lastminute positional changes, saw Park give away a penalty from which Tyldesley fly-half Ashley Worsfold converted.
Tyldesley were put under pressure again from the restart and following a yellow card to flanker Adam Fetherston, Winnington scored again as they made the most of their advantage in the scrum.
The second half petered out into an error strewn affair with neither sidemaking much headway.
Despite losing their opening three games Tyldesley remain buoyant as they have now played and lost to all top three sides.
