AS a former long-standing Bury FC fan, it pains me to see them in the current state they are in.
Although, I can't help thinking that maybe they got their come-uppance after the shoddy way that Andy Preece was treated, (it left a sour taste in the mouth).
I feel pretty sure if he had still been at the helm, they would be in calmer waters.
Regarding the lack of support, I keep reading about in the Bury Times, I feel that a more realistic entrance fee would indeed swell the terraces again. If you need proof, just look at the last time they did, or at FC United of Manchester.
I can't afford to watch football at Gigg Lane any more, so I now go along to Stainton Park to watch Radcliffe Boro in the Unibond League; a much more realistic working class option, which probably most fans are anyway.
