SUPPORT from the Royal Bank of Scotland means that money need not be "too tight to mention" for pop act Simply Red.
The bank's commercial office has provided a £5 million finance facilityfor the group's record label Simplyred.com Limited, to help with the production and marketing of Simply Red's new album, Simplified. Manchester based Simplyred.com is a record label set up as a joint venture between band leader Mick Hucknall and his management company Silentway Limited. Simplified is due for release on October 17.
Based in Manchester and London, the company employs 12, and has a turnover in excess of £10 million. The debt finance facility was arranged by Peter Woodall from the RBS commercial banking office.
Mr Woodall said: "Having helped to finance Simply Red's entry into the music scene in 1984, we are delighted that, over 20 years later, we are able to continue our support."
