BOAT owners on Lake Windermere are facing big increases in the cost of using the lake.
Changes to registration charges, which have been agreed by the Lake District National Park Authority, will mean a significant increase for some.
Under the new system, charges will be based on the length of boats rather than horsepower.
The changes come in following the introduction of the 10mph speed limit, which was introduced on Windermere in March reports BBC Cumbria.
