A HUGE ferris wheel will again be the centrepiece to Manchester's Christmas celebrations.
Engineers have completed construction of the 365-tonne wheel which will tower 60 metres above the city's Exchange Square.
The wheel was shipped from Munich and is now waiting to be transported from Hull docks to Manchester where another team of engineers will spend two weeks putting it together.
A big wheel has been an attraction on Exchange Square for the last two years but the wheel will this year feature 42 bubble-style heated gondolas and 60,000 light bulbs.
