CARETAKER manager Chris Casper said there were no celebrations in the Bury dressing room after Simon Whaley snatched a point in the 1-1 draw against Lincoln.
The young midfielder snatched a 90th minute equaliser for the Shakers, but Casper refused to get carried away with what had been an average performance from his side.
He said: "We played our get out of jail card at the end. We were second best throughout the game. We've come away with a point, and fair play to the lads, they kept going and persevered.
"For endeavour and enthusiasm at the end, we just about deserved something out of the game. It wasnt a great performance, and the lads know that, so theres no celebrating in the dressing room."
Lincoln arrived with a gameplan which had been honed over four successful seasons under manager Keith Alexander, and their direct, physical approach caused problems all day.
"If Lincoln are going to play like that, then you have to stop it at the source," said Casper. "When their defenders get the ball, we know where it is going and where it will be arriving, so we have to stop it getting there.
"My philosophy is that you have to defend from the front, and we did not do that today. We need to turn it around, and impose ourselves on teams like Lincoln."
