POLICE in Lancashire are investigating an "appalling act of animal cruelty" after a kitten was thrown off a motorway bridge.
Vets are trying to save the life of the kitten which fell 40ft off the bridge over the M65 and smashed into the windscreen of an oncoming car.
The kitten has had a front leg amputated and vets said it was a miracle he survived the fall at all.
The RSPCA said it was an appalling act of animal cruelty. Lancashire Police have begun an investigation and anyone with information should contact them reports BBC Lancashire.
