AS your readers may be aware, Barnardo's Charity Shop on Market Street in Bury, has recently suffered several set-backs, including closure for a short time, due to staff shortages.
We are now open and up and running with a complete new seasons stock of Autumn clothing.
However, if we are to achieve the standard of service we are aiming for, we still need the help of volunteers.
At Barnardo's we value your time and will help you to make the best of your skills while providing you with support and training. Volunteering can also change your own life for the better.
While volunteering in a Barnardo's shop, you can make new friends, gain work experience, develop new skills and build your confidence. But most of all, you can make a difference to children's lives.
It is Barnardo's vision that the lives of all children and young people should be free from poverty, abuse and discrimination and you can make a contribution by helping Barnardo's run one of its shops.
All sorts of people with time to spare become Barnardo's volunteers, part-time workers, retired people, the unemployed, anyone who is close to our cause.
No qualifications or special skills are needed, just join and become a valued member of our team.
To volunteer just call in to the shop or ring Shirley on 0161 764 3573.
