CAN you help fit the pieces of an ancestry puzzle and track down some long-lost family members from Whitefield?
Martin Schroder-Long, from Accrington, is searching for information on his grandparents, Arthur Long and Ana Long, nee Fletcher, of Dudley Avenue in Whitefield who died in the 1950s.
He is trying to find out exactly when his grandparents died, or where they are buried, and any other details on the Long family.
Mr Schroder-Long's father, Arnold Long, who died in 1970, was the eldest of four brothers. He was born in Leeds in 1903 and moved to Philips Park gatehouse in 1909 shortly after his brother, Leonard, died at five months old.
His brother, Cyril Long, lived in The Lodge at the entrance to Philips Park Hall and Mr Schroder-Long believes his father's youngest brother, Kenneth Long, could still be in the area and has a son called Robin.
Anyone with more information can contact Mr Schroder-Long by writing to 15 Ambleside Close, Huncoat, Accrington, BB5 6HY.
