A RADCLIFFE man stole false fingernails and earrings for his girlfriend.
John Wayne Hughes, aged 37, of Chapelfield, Radcliffe, admitted stealing a packet of false fingernails worth £4 belonging to The Make-Up Store, and two pairs of earrings worth £8 belonging to Claires, both in Bury's Millgate Centre.
He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £34 court costs.
Hughes told Bury magistrates: "Frankly I was only trying impress my girlfriend."
