A RADCLIFFE man has appeared before Bury magistrates accused of grabbing his former girlfriend by the throat and pouring coffee over her.
But Lee Wood, aged 37, of King Street, Radcliffe, denied charges of assaulting Tracey Rainford, stealing £50 from her purse, and causing £270 worth of damage to a kitchen window and other property at her home.
The case was adjourned to a pre-trial review on November 4 and Wood was granted bail subject to conditions which include not entering Rupert Street.
Wood pleaded not guilty and agreed to a trial conducted by local magistrates rather than elect a Crown Court hearing.
