FIRMS are being invited to get wise to the dangers posed by email and internet abuse.
Keoghs solicitors and forensic computing consultancy Zentek are hosting a free seminar on managing the problem.
The event, on October 6, is aimed at helping organisations protect themselves and prevent internal threat.
The seminar is intended to help human resource managers and company directors, and will be held at Keoghs offices in Horwich. Presentations will be made by employment law, fraud and computer crime specialists.
The seminar will highlight the legal implications of computer misuse in the workplace, the regulations that apply, the liability of the employer and some practical tips on how to identify employee abuse, like fraud, how to deal with it and avoid common pitfalls.
The first five readers to confirm their attendance before September 30 will receive a free "web log analysis" revealing whether employees within their organisation are misusing the internet.
Places can be booked by contacting Julie Taylor on 01204 677021 or jtaylor@keoghs.co.uk or at: www.keoghs.co.uk
