THE head of Bolton Police has praised Bolton Wanderers travelling supporters for their good behaviour during the UEFA cup tie.
Chief Supt Dave Lea was in Burgas to oversee a Bulgarian police operation to control the two sets of fans .
After the game he said: "The Wanderers fans came here to enjoy themselves and they've done exactly that, but their behaviour has also been impeccable.
"The police operation has played a large part in that, but they deserve credit for their conduct."
Chief Supt Lea said only one incident had been reported. A man from Bolton suffered a black eye after he was punched and kicked by Plovdiv fans as he walked to the ground with a group of four friends.
