THE parents of Isis Naomi Shaw, who died two years ago, are griefstricken after discovering their daughter's graveside has been the target of thieves.
Windchimes and bracelets, gifts left by family and friends have been stolen from the grave of the little Lowton girl who died on Christmas Day, 2003, aged 12, after a life long struggle with cystic fibrosis.
Parents Mark and Dawn Shaw are devastated by the latest theft.
"We visited Isis on Sunday and noticed two bracelets we left were missing. One was from one of her closest friends and we had left another. They were from Shell Island a place Isis loved to visit and we know how much they would have meant to her."
It is not the first time Isis' graveside at Leigh Cemetery has been robbed. Earlier this year, wind chimes a favourite instrument were also stolen.
"Isis loved the sound of the wind chimes. They were a source of comfort during her battle with the illness and it was only appropriate that they should remain with Isis when we laid her to rest. Words simply can't describe how this callous act has affected our family and friends," said her aunt, Lynne Shaw
