THE NEW charity furniture store opened in Lord Street has already boosted funds for Wigan and Leigh Hospice by thousands of pounds.
The super shop is filled with an array of clean, good quality high class items that have been donated by the people of the area.
Some people must have money to burn to give away such good as new pieces, but thank goodness they have.
If it weren't for people with more money than sense spending on things they don't need, and those who sling out just out of fashion items, none of the many charity shops in Leigh would exist and the world would be a poorer place.
The shop is seeking volunteers and anyone who can help should ring Irene, the hospice voluntary services co-ordinator, on 01942 525566.
