I WROTE in August about the financial wisdom of the St Helena development.
While the plan, in general, is good, it is also of vital importance that care is taken to protect historic buildings and the businesses within them, which are in danger of being squeezed out of existence by the scheme.
If the idea is to bring in big name stores, why is it necessary to destroy the nature of the interior of our valuable Market Hall?
The attractive stalls have served the town for so many years, and give the hall the right to be called the Market Hall.
