SHAKERS 1, BRISTOL ROVERS 0: Shakers climbed off the foot of League Two after a Paul Scott goal earned them their first match in more than a month.
Shakers dominated the early exchanges and Bristol Rovers keeper Scott Shearer saved well from Allan Smart.
Junior Agogo went close for Rovers but defender Scott gave Bury a deserved lead three minutes before half-time with a volley from the edge of the box.
