BLACKROD earned a point with a hard fought 2-2 draw at Fulwood Amateurs.
Blackrod took a 21st minute lead when new signing, defender Dave Bailey, headed home a Darrell Martinus corner kick. Even though they created five more clear-cut chances they failed to add to their tally.
Fulwood made them pay with two goals shortly after the break, but Sam Cardwell equalised in the 55th minute with a rasping 25-yard drive
Top-of-the-table Blackrod Town Reserves defeated Hesketh Bank Reserves 2-0 in a home fixture. Danny Ashcroft scored the first goal and a Hesketh defender could do no more than knock the ball past his own keeper from Gaz Barnes' tantalising cross for the second.
