A PUB is to celebrate the appointment of a community chaplain - by holding a Harvest service in the bar!
The Reverend John Buckley will mark his appointment as chaplain of the Church House Inn, Bollington, Macclesfield, with the service.
The owners of the pub, a consortium of local residents, said the new role was an extension of their involvement in the community.
The event on Sunday is free - but the post-service hot pot will cost £5.
"We see the pub as being the hub of the community and we want to try to make a difference to local people," a pub spokesman told BBC Manchester.
