EMPLOYEES in the North-west take the shortest lunch breaks in Britain.
Most say they have less than 15 minutes each day to enjoy a midday meal.
One-in-four of the UK workforce feel pressurised to forego their full lunch hour, concerned that it gives a negative impression to colleagues and managers.
According to the survey, those aged between 25 and 34 feel the pressure most and are the least comfortable taking an hour.
Close to two thirds of British workers eat lunch in the office with 47 per cent eating at their desks.
