I WOULD advise any motorist who has been issued with a parking ticket recently on Gas Street / Hanover Street, adjacent to Bolton Little Theatre, to appeal and demand return of any fines paid.
On the side of Hanover Street, facing Bolton Little Theatre, where there is a single yellow line, there is no plate stating the hours of restriction. On the same side as the theatre, the single yellow line is obliterated by asphalt at the entrance to Hanover Contractors.
The end of the double yellow line, which goes around the corner into Gas Street, is also obscured by asphalt, and is unenforceable until the single yellow line is met in Gas Street.
