REGULARS at a pub in Horwich have raised £700 for a national charity.
Customers and staff at the Horwich Park Harvester raised the cash for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK charity in numerous events last month.
They sold balloon race tickets, held a sponsored bike ride and held a five-a-side football competition.
More than 400 balloons were returned, some from as far away as Germany.
Philip Strauss, manager, said: "August was a great month of fundraising and the whole team really got behind all three activities. We are so pleased to have raised so much."
Hazel Mcllwraith from the Make-A-Wish Foundation said: "We'd like to say a big thank you to the guests and the team at the Horwich Park Harvester. They all worked really heard to raise much-needed funds."
The cash will go to the charities regional office.
Make-A-Wish aims to turn the wishes of children aged three to 18 living with life threatening illnesses into reality.
