I REFER to the letter on the Harmony Youth Project (Bolton Evening News, September 13).
I have experienced first-hand the work this organisation does with young people.
The staff are very friendly and supportive.
Charlie Barrat and Steve (recording engineer and musician) have helped nurture the fantastic talents of Boltons teenagers, including my daughter Emma.
Her talent is singing and song writing.
Harmonys base in Halliwell provides excellent facilities for up-and-coming artists.
When Emma recorded her first song, I was bowled over by the quality and standard of the performance.
Truly chart material!
She later went on to make a music video with help and imput from numerous people at Harmony.
Charlie, in the making of the video, stated that you dont have to travel to London to be able to do these things.
The technology is right here in Bolton.
Emma, along with other young artists, has helped promote the good work Harmony does.
Harmony supports many community events throughout the year and is well supported.
I hope the council sits up and takes note of Harmony and the good work it does.
As my daughter has now enrolled on a performing arts course, Ive no doubt there are many more talented youngsters in Bolton waiting to be discovered.
