JARED Borgetti had a smile as wide as a sombrero on Thursday night after securing a place in the history of Bolton Wanderers.
The Mexican hot shot's injury-time winner rescued a famous victory for the Whites on their European debut to give them a fighting chance of making the lucrative group stages of the UEFA Cup.
The tie remains finely balanced and Wanderers will travel to Burgas on September 29 knowing they could still live to regret the carelessness of conceding a first half goal.
But Borgetti's 92nd minute strike was a body blow to Lokomotiv Plovdiv, who thought they were heading for a shock first leg victory until El-Hadji Diouf headed a spectacular but controversial equaliser 18 minutes from time.

Wanderers' much-anticipated first taste of European competition threatened to turn sour on them when Plovdiv plundered a 27th minute goal completely against the run of play.
It was an object lesson in the perils of playing in Europe as the well-organised Bulgarians defended well then pounced on the counter-attack with their impressive captain Vladimir Ivanov teeing up Boban
