A DRINK driver said to have an alcohol problem was banned from driving and made subject to a community order.
Slawomir Paplinksi (52), of Arbour Close, Bury, had admitted driving in York Street, Heywood, with more than two and a half times the legal level of alcohol in his system.
A reading showed him to have 93 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in his system, compared with the legal limit of 35mg in 100ml.
The high reading, Rochdale magistrates were told, had made Paplinski a risk to himself and other road users.
It was stated that Paplinski had a drink problem and knew he should not have got into the car.
He was banned from driving for three years and made subject to a community order with a specific supervision and unpaid work element and he was ordered to pay £55 court costs.
