FIVE Cub Scouts from St Anne's Church in Tottington have been presented with the Chief Scout's Silver Award - the highest award possible that can be achieved in the Cub Scout section of Scouting. The boys, all aged ten, had to undertake a total of four challenges, including an outdoor challenge and a personal challenge.
This involved the Cubs working towards achieving a higher standard in one of their interests. One Cub swam further than he had done before, another gained a higher level of music standard and another was challenged by canoeing a section of the River Dee in Scotland. The awards were presented by Scout District Commissioner Rod Lloyd, who praised the Cubs for their hard work and dedication in obtaining such a highly-coveted badge.
