BURY charity Hurdles has been given £300 to help it support parents of young people with disabilities and special needs.
The donation has come from the Yorkshire Building Society in The Rock, Bury, as part of its charitable foundation summer event.
More than 200 children benefit from the services offered by Hurdles, which is based at the Re:d Centre in Morley Street, Bury. These range from a pre-school play group, youth groups for older children, coffee afternoons and a drop-in service, and fun days out.
Mrs Geraldine Greene, Hurdles chairman, said: "We believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop to their full capacity, whatever their ability, and our aim is to support their development. We are delighted with the donation from Yorkshire Building Society which will be used to enhance the services we offer to families."
